Please note that all in-person visits to the Consulate General are strictly by previous appointment only. 


How to book an appointment and prepare for it?

Appointments can be booked directly through our Appointment Booking System: https://konzinfobooking.mfa.gov.hu/

As a general rule, a separate appointment must be booked for each applicant (e.g. if you are applying for yourself and your child for a passport, you need to book 2 appointments). The appointments shown online are the earliest available appointments. Each day, new appointment slots are added. Therefore, if no appointments are available, please wait until the next day and try again.

If there is an emergency (e.g. death or illness in your immediate family) and you need an appointment sooner, please contact us via konz.edi@mfa.gov.hu and have documentary evidence of your emergency situation ready. We will try to reply to you as quickly as possible.

If you cannot attend your appointment, please cancel or modify it in advance via the link provided in the confirmation e-mail.

Please prepare all the required documents from the Consular Information section before coming to the Consulate General. Should you fail to show the mandatory identification as a Hungarian Citizen and/or prepare your application insufficiently, you might be advised to book a new appointment and come back again later.

Please arrive on time for your appointment, otherwise you might need to wait outside of the office! The health and safety of our colleagues and clients remain our top priority. Therefore, we kindly recommend to wear a mask to your appointment.

In case you have COVID-19 symptoms or have tested positive for COVID-19 in the 14 days prior to your appointment, please modify your booking or contact us.

Please note, that we are a cashless office, card payment only! Your card must be physically present; GooglePay/ApplePay/contactless payment options are not available.
